The City of North Charleston and Keep North Charleston Beautiful would like to WELCOME you to the Clean Cities Sweep program.  Clean Cities Sweep is an annual award-winning program, part of the Great American Cleanup.

 

Volunteers participate by planning a cleanup and/or beautification event in the North Charleston community.  Groups that register to participate are eligible for free project supplies (valued at up to $150) and a Clean Cities Sweep planning kit.

 

During the 2019 Clean Cities Sweep, 16,182 volunteers participated in 82 events held by 44 different schools, neighborhoods, and community groups.  These volunteers donated 40,573 hours for a total volunteer value of service of $1,006,183.67.  They picked up more than 24,900 pounds of litter and debris and installed 713 flowers and trees.  Additionally, they picked up more than 13,864 pounds of material for recycling.
